What is 4G calling, and does my phone do it?

4G calling (you might see it called VoLTE) means your calls travel over the 4G network, so they connect faster and sound clearer.

4G calling (VoLTE, short for voice over 4G) carries your calls over the 4G network instead of the old 3G one. Calls connect quicker, sound clearer, and you can keep using data while you talk.

Do I need it? Yes. With 3G switched off, calls on Simp go over 4G or 5G.

Does my phone have it? If your phone supports eSIM, it almost certainly does, and it's usually on by default. If calls fail but data works, sign in and we'll help you check.
