Fair use policy

1. Who this applies to

1.1 This policy applies to the UK mobile line and roaming on Simp+ and Simp Pro.

1.2 Simp AI has no eSIM and no mobile line, so sections 2 to 6 do not apply to it.

1.3 Your AI minutes are not unlimited and are not covered by fair use. Each plan has its own allowance of AI minutes.

2. The limits

2.1 Your UK data, calls and texts are unlimited for personal use, under these limits for each billing month on your UK eSIM:

2.2 Your billing month starts on the day of the month your plan started, or on the last day of the month if that month is shorter, including when you pay every 3 months. The limits start again at the start of each billing month.

2.3 Data you share with your own devices as a hotspot counts towards the data limit.

3. If you go over a limit

3.1 Over the fair use limit, your UK line is paused until the end of that billing month and comes back when your next billing month starts. It is never slowed down.

3.2 Your plan continues, and is charged as normal, while your line is paused.

4. Personal use only

4.1 Your line is for your own personal use. You must not:

• run a call centre, a business phone line or a customer service line from it;
• resell, or charge other people for, your data, calls or texts;
• put your line in a device that passes calls, texts or data on to other people, such as a SIM box or a gateway;
• use it for automatic or bulk calls or texts; or
• create artificial traffic, for example by calling premium-rate numbers to make money.

5. Roaming

5.1 In Europe, your UK eSIM roams like at home, at the same speeds as in the UK. Your Europe data allowance is 10GB a month on Simp+ and 20GB a month on Simp Pro. You can roam in Europe on up to 15 days in each billing month. From day 16 in a billing month, roaming in Europe on your UK eSIM is suspended until your next billing month starts. When your Europe data is used up, it stops until your allowance renews.

5.2 In the rest of the world, roaming data runs on a separate data-only global eSIM. You get 3GB at 5G a month on Simp+ and 5GB at 5G a month on Simp Pro. Your 5G allowance runs at the full speed of the local network, typically 60Mbps to 250Mbps download and 10Mbps to 40Mbps upload, depending on the country and the coverage where you are. After that, data is unlimited at 4G speed, 0.5Mbps to 2Mbps, under a fair use limit of 20GB a month. That 4G speed is our own limit, so it is the same in every country. Above the fair use limit, section 6 applies.

5.3 Roaming is for travel, not for living abroad.

6. Misuse

6.1 If we believe your line is being used against this policy or our terms, we may pause your service without warning. We'll usually warn you first.

6.2 If misuse continues, or is serious, we may suspend or end your plan under clause 12 of our terms of service.

7. Changes to this policy

7.1 We can change this policy as clause 16 of our terms of service allows.
