AI calling

A number of your own, and someone to make the call.

AI calling is an AI that makes your phone calls for you. It books appointments, chases refunds and waits on hold for up to 6 minutes, then lets you know so you can take over. Every plan includes AI minutes, it works with the AI apps you already use, and it never calls without your say-so.

Step oneYou give it something to do

Say who to ring, what you want out of it, and which of your simps makes the call. In the Simp app, or by asking the AI app you already use.

Step twoIt waits for your go-ahead

It never calls without your say-so. The call sits there with everything it is about to do on screen, and it goes nowhere until you press the button, or until it fits your say-so given in advance, as rules you set for your AI apps, on a plan with autonomous mode. Everything else on this page follows from that.

Step threeIt makes the call, and reports back

Your simp makes the call, works the objective, and comes back to you the moment it reaches something that is yours to decide. Then it tells you what was said and what was agreed.

Two ways in. Same call at the end of both.

From the AI app you already use

Ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Siri or Muse to sort something that needs a phone call, or put Simp at the end of a Zap. It hands the call to Simp, filled in, and stops there. It cannot place the call itself, which is exactly why you can let it set one up.

The apps it works with
In the Simp app

Say who to call and what you want out of it. Pick which of your simps makes it. Set it for now, for later, or to repeat.

The Simp app

Ready to dial. Hasn't dialled.

Every call arrives here first: who it is calling, what it is going to try to get, and which of your simps is making it. Read it, change it, or leave it sitting there forever. It will not go anywhere until you press the button, unless it fits your say-so given in advance on a plan with autonomous mode.

Your say-so, now or given in advance, is the only way a call ever starts.

Nothing happens until you press it

It comes back to you. It does not guess.

Reach a price or a commitment and it stops and asks. You can mark any detail as sensitive, and your simp asks you every time before using it. It will not agree on your behalf, and it will not invent an answer to keep things moving.

A twenty minute call costs you the two seconds it took to say yes.

Anything not on this listIt says it does not have it

It knows what you told it. Nothing else.

You name the facts it may use, and the rule each one comes under: share it, ask me first, or never. Asked for something you have not given it, it says it does not have that rather than filling the gap with something plausible.

Handing it a few facts is not the same as handing over your phone.

What your simp is allowed to do

Set it for Tuesday. Or for every Tuesday.

A call can wait for a time you pick, or repeat on a schedule. You approve a repeating call once, when you set it up, rather than being asked again every week.

You are approving the calls, not turning the rule off. Stop the series whenever you like.

A real call

A real call, start to finish.

Poppy sat in a phone queue, and the caller took over when reception answered. Every word is as it was said; only the hold music was trimmed, and the times shown are after the cut. It was recorded with everyone's agreement; your own calls are transcribed, not recorded.

The whole call, hold music included, counts towards your AI minutes. Your simp waits on hold for up to 6 minutes, then lets you know so you can take over. Any call your simp is handling ends after 10 minutes.

Limits

What it can't do.

  • It calls from its own number, never yours

Every call goes out on your AI number. It cannot place a call from the line you already have.

    Your AI number
  • It cannot call 999

In an emergency, call 999 yourself, straight away.

  • Its minutes run out

Plans include 10 to 20 AI minutes a month, and the whole call counts, time on hold included. You can top up in the app if you run low.

    Compare the plans
  • It asks before anything that commits you

A payment, a new price or a contract comes back to you first. You can mark any detail as sensitive, and your simp asks you every time before using it.

What your simp is allowed to do
  • It won't pass security checks for you

It never gives out your passwords, PINs or security answers. Where a business needs them, you tap Take over in the Simp app.

  • It can't dial in bulk or make sales calls

It only rings numbers you approve, one call at a time. It cannot work through a list or make marketing calls.

  • It speaks British English

Every persona speaks British English, in every market. No other language is offered.

  • It can get things wrong

It can mishear or misunderstand. Read the summary, and the transcript where it matters, before you rely on a call.

    The terms

Your call. Always.

An AI that makes calls for you should be the most careful thing on your phone, not the least. It does what you allow, and nothing else.

Nothing sensitive gets said
without your yes.

Payments, personal details, commitments - your persona stops and asks before any of it leaves its mouth. You can also listen to any call while it happens, and end it with one tap.

  • Your data is stored in the UK

Where a provider of ours handles it outside the UK, including in the US, UK GDPR safeguards go with it. Never sold, never brokered, never handed to advertisers.

  • Card details stay encrypted

Cards, addresses and account numbers are encrypted, and only ever given out on a call you approved first.

  • AI apps get the outcome, not you

ChatGPT, Claude, Muse and the rest are told what happened on the call. They never get your number or your identity.

  • Your calls aren't recorded

We don't keep the audio. When a call ends there is no recording sitting on a server waiting to leak.

  • Listening in is live, not stored

You can listen while a call is happening, and your persona is the only AI on the line. Nothing is saved once it hangs up.

  • You approve anything sensitive

You can mark any detail as sensitive, and your simp asks you every time before using it. Payments and commitments need your yes too.

In the UK, your simp says it's an AI whenever anyone on the call asks, and never denies it.

What your simp is allowed to do

Questions about AI calling.

What is AI calling?

An AI that makes your phone calls for you. You say who to ring and what you want. It calls from its own AI number, talks to the person who answers, and tells you what was said and agreed.

Can it call without me?

No. It never calls without your say-so. On Simp Pro, autonomous mode is your say-so given in advance, as rules you set for your AI apps.

Does it say it's an AI?

Yes. In the UK, it says it is an AI whenever anyone on the call asks, and never denies it.

Is AI calling legal?
Are my calls recorded?

No. Calls are not recorded as audio. They are transcribed as they happen, and you can read each transcript and summary in the app for 30 days.

Does waiting on hold use my AI minutes?

Yes. The whole call counts towards your monthly AI minutes, time on hold included. Plans include 10 to 20 AI minutes a month, and you can top up in the app if you run low.

Compare the plans
How long will my simp wait on hold?

Your simp waits on hold for up to 6 minutes, then lets you know so you can take over. Any call your simp is handling ends after 10 minutes. Hand-over isn't automatic: you tap Take over in the Simp app.

Which AI apps can ask for a call?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Zapier, Siri and Muse, on every plan. The app can set a call up, but it never calls without your say-so. On Simp Pro, autonomous mode is your say-so given in advance, as rules you set for your AI apps.
