Does my phone support eSIM?
Probably. Any iPhone from the XS on does, and so do most Pixels and Samsungs from the last few years.
To know for sure, dial *#06#. If you see an EID, your phone supports eSIM.
Two ways to check, both free.

Dial *#06#
Open your phone app, dial *#06#, and look for a line called EID. If it's there, you're set.

Or look in settings
Settings > Mobile Service (or Mobile Data)
Look for "Add eSIM".
Settings > Network & internet (or Connections) > SIMs (or SIM manager)
Look for "Set up an eSIM" or "Add eSIM". Menu names vary by brand.
Or find your phone by name.

Not on the list? That doesn't mean no. Plenty of capable phones aren't listed, so the dial check is what settles it.
When a phone that supports eSIM still won’t take one.
Locked to a network
If your phone is locked to the network you bought it from, it won't accept anyone else's eSIM. Your provider can unlock it.
Some models sold abroad
A few phones made for certain countries were built without eSIM, even when the same model sold in the UK has it. Apple's own example: in China mainland, only the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, 17e and Air support eSIM.
If it’s a yes, here’s what happens.

Pick a plan
Choose your plan and pay on the website. Before you pay, the checkout asks you to confirm your phone supports eSIM.

Install from the app
Your eSIM installs from the Simp app. No QR code, no settings to type in.

Bring your number
If you want to: get a transfer code (PAC) from your old provider and enter it in the app.

Meet your simp
Your AI number is live in the app, ready for the first call you hand it.
Questions about eSIM on your phone.
What is an EID?
It’s the ID of the eSIM chip inside your phone. Only phones with that chip have one, which is why seeing it answers the question.
My phone shows an EID but isn’t on your list. Will it work?
Yes. The list is a shortcut; the EID is the proof.
Can I keep my current SIM in as well?
Yes. Most modern iPhones and Android phones can run two eSIMs, or a physical SIM and an eSIM, at the same time, so you can keep another number active if you want to. If the SIM you have now is the one you're replacing, or the number you're bringing to Simp, remove it once your number has moved.
What happens when I get a new phone?
You reinstall your eSIM from the app. Nothing is stuck inside the old one.
Does it work on an iPad, tablet or smartwatch?
Our plans are made for phones. We guarantee they work on mobile phones, but we can't guarantee other kinds of device.
What if I buy and then find my phone doesn’t support it?
Check first. Before you pay, the checkout asks you to confirm your phone supports eSIM, and dialling *#06# settles it in ten seconds. What you get back if you cancel is set out in our terms.
Cancelling, in our termsChecked? You’re two minutes from a new line.
Pick a plan, then install your eSIM in the Simp app.
