I am not keeping my old number. What happens to it?

Easy: start using your new Simp number straight away.

Choose Use my new number when the app asks, and your Simp number works as soon as your eSIM is installed.

Can I choose my new number? No, sorry. Your Simp number is given out from the ones available, so there's no picking digits. Want a number you already love? Bring it with you: see Bring your number to Simp.

Your old number. It's still with your old provider, and so is any contract. There are two ways to leave them:

• Leave with a STAC code: text STAC to 75075 from your old phone. Your old provider texts back a code. Enter it in the app when it asks if you want to keep your number, in the same box as a transfer code, so there's no awkward call to make.
• Or tell your old provider you're leaving yourself.

What's left on your old contract, and when it ends, is for your old provider to tell you.
