Does my phone need to be unlocked?

An unlocked phone can take a line from any network, and Simp needs that.

Yes. A locked phone only accepts lines from the network that sold it, so your Simp eSIM won't work on it.

Is mine locked? Phones bought outright from the maker or a shop are usually unlocked already. Phones that came with a contract from a network are the ones to check.

How to unlock it. Ask the network that sold you the phone. They do the unlocking, not us, and they can tell you how long it takes. Once it's done, you can install Simp straight away.

A tip: if you try to install your eSIM and your phone says the plan or SIM isn't supported, a lock is the usual reason.
