Are my calls recorded? What do you keep?
We never record the audio of your calls.
No audio, ever. Your simp's calls aren't recorded as audio. We keep a written transcript, not a recording.
What you see, and for how long. Each call gets a written transcript, a short summary, the outcome and any notes you sent, in Activity. If you take over a call, your side is in the transcript too. They stay for 30 days after the call, then they're removed. You can't delete a single call, so screenshot anything you want to keep. Deleting your account deletes your calls.
Help improve Simp. If Help improve Simp is on, we may keep a copy of a call after that, with names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, card and account numbers and dates of birth masked, to make Simp better. It's deleted 12 months after the call. If it's off, we keep no copy, and your calls are never used for training or review. It's on unless you turn it off, nothing in Simp depends on it, and turning it off deletes any copies we already have. To turn it off, ask in the support chat in the app or the dashboard and we'll do it for you. When the switch reaches your app, you'll find it in Settings too.
The basic record. We keep a short record of each call (when it was, how long it took, what it cost and how it went) for 12 months. The number called is taken off it after 30 days.
Who can see your calls. You can. Inside Simp, only a small number of authorised senior people can open what was said on a call, and only to help you when you ask, to look into misuse, or when the law requires it. Every look is logged with a reason. Everyone else on the team sees only the basics, like when a call happened and how it went.
The companies that help run a call. The services that turn speech into text and work out what your simp says next act only on our instructions, only to provide the service, and don't use your calls to train their own models.
