A simp called me. What do you keep, and how do I stop it?
A simp rang you for one of our customers. Here's what we keep from the call, who sees it, and how to make sure no simp calls you again.
A simp is an AI that makes and takes calls for a Simp customer, at their request. In the UK it says it's an AI whenever you ask, and it never claims to be a person.
What we keep. We don't record the audio. The customer who asked for the call sees a written transcript, a summary and the outcome for 30 days, then they're removed. If that customer has Help improve Simp on, a copy with names, numbers and other personal details masked may be kept until 12 months after the call, then it's deleted. A basic record of the call is kept for 12 months, and your number is taken off it after 30 days.
Who sees it. The customer who asked for the call. Inside Simp, only a small number of authorised senior people can open what was said, and only to help the customer when they ask, to look into misuse, or when the law requires it. Every look is logged.
Stopping the calls. Ask the simp to stop on the call and it stops calling your number. To make sure no simp ever calls you, email hello@simpmobile.com with your phone number and the words "Do not call". We block your number for every Simp customer.
Your rights. You can ask to see what we hold about you from a call, or have it corrected or deleted. Email hello@simpmobile.com with your number and roughly when the call was. There's more at https://simpmobile.com/called.
