How to call your insurer
For a claim, call the number in your policy documents with your policy number and any photos ready. At renewal, compare quotes and ask your insurer to do better. Or let your simp get you through to the right team.
What you can do yourself.
Every insurer works differently, so check your policy.
Find the right numberClaims and renewals can have different numbers. Check your policy documents or your insurer's website.
Have your details readyYour policy number, when it happened, and any photos, receipts or reports.
Shop around at renewalAnother insurer may be cheaper, so compare quotes before you renew, and ask your insurer to do better.
Check how it renewsLook in your policy or your account for whether it renews automatically, if you'd rather choose each year.
Complain in writingAsk for the complaints team, say what you want done, and keep a note of the date, who you spoke to and any reference.
The catch: a claim needs the policyholder, so you still have to be there for the details.
How a simp does it.
A pipe burst in Alex's kitchen. Bev waited for the claims team, explained what had happened and Alex tapped Take over when they needed the policyholder.

Your simp gets you through. You make the claim.
Tell your simp the insurer, the policy and what happened. It waits for the right team for up to 6 minutes on hold, explains why you're calling, and you tap Take over when they need the policyholder. At renewal, it can ask for the price and bring it back.
If they need the policyholder, you take over.
Some organisations will only deal with the policyholder. If they do, your simp gets you to the right team, and you tap Take over in the Simp app.
