Simp Spins Contest Rules

1. The contest and who runs it

1.1 The contest is the Simp Spins Contest. It is run by Simp Industries Ltd. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16366317. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. In these rules, "we", "us" and "Simp" mean that company, and "you" means a person who enters.

1.3 If you have a Simp plan, our terms of service also apply to you. Where these rules say something specific about the contest, these rules apply.

2. Who can enter

2.1 You can enter if, when you enter, you live in Canada and have reached the age of majority in the province or territory where you live.

2.2 You cannot enter if you are an employee, officer or director of Simp, or of a business that helps us run the contest, or if you live in the same household as one of them.

2.3 You enter as yourself. You must not use more than one account, more than one email address, or anyone else's details to get more entries.

3. Contest periods

3.1 Each calendar month is a separate contest period, from the first moment of the first day of the month to the last moment of its last day, Eastern Time. The contest runs until we end it under clause 11.

3.2 Entries, prizes and the monthly maximum do not carry over from one period to the next.

4. How to enter

4.1 There are two ways to enter.

4.2 With a Simp plan. Spins come with these plans:

You spin in the Simp app. Your plan must be active and paid when you spin. A spin you do not use before the next one is given does not carry over. You cannot buy a spin.

4.3 Without buying anything. Email hello@simpmobile.com with the subject 'Free spin' and your name. You do not need a Simp account or a plan. You can get one free spin per person per month.

4.4 We run your free spin ourselves, with the same chances as a spin in the app, and email you the result.

4.5 Entries made with a script, a bot or any other automated tool, or with more than one identity, are void.

5. How a spin is decided

5.1 Each spin, paid or free, is decided at random by the same process, with the same chance of each result.

5.2 The animation in the app only shows a result that has already been decided. How you tap or swipe makes no difference.

5.3 Every spin is separate. Not winning on one spin does not make a win more likely on the next.

6. Prizes and chances

6.1 A spin either wins nothing, or wins a prize of account credit or coins. Account credit pays toward your Simp bill. Coins are used only for perks in the Simp app, as our terms of service explain.

6.2 The prizes you win in a contest period add up to no more than the monthly maximum in clause 4.2 for your plan, and you may win less, or nothing.

6.3 The chance of each result is shown in the app before every spin, and we email it to you with the result of a free spin. Your chances in a period depend on how many times you enter, whether you have already reached your monthly maximum, and whether you answer the skill-testing question correctly.

6.4 Prizes are not divided between regions. Every eligible entry has the same chance wherever in Canada the entrant lives.

7. The skill-testing question

7.1 Before any prize is credited, you must correctly answer a simple mathematical skill-testing question, without help from anyone and without a calculator or other device.

7.2 For a spin in the app, the question appears on the screen after the result. For a free spin, it is in the email we send with the result, and you answer by replying to that email.

7.3 If your answer is wrong, or you do not answer within the time we give, the prize is not credited.

8. How prizes are given

8.1 When you have answered the skill-testing question correctly, we add the prize to your Simp account.

8.2 If you won with a free spin and do not have a Simp plan, we hold your prize for 30 days. You can use it only if you join Simp within those 30 days. After that it is gone.

8.3 Prizes cannot be swapped for cash, sold or given to another person. Account credit and coins end with your plan.

9. Checking eligibility, and playing fairly

9.1 Before we credit a prize, we may ask you to show that you meet clause 2.

9.2 If you are not eligible, gave false details, used more than one identity, used an automated tool, got help with the skill-testing question, or interfered with the app or the contest, your entries are void and no prize is credited.

10. Faults

10.1 If a spin is interrupted before it finishes, it is either completed with its result or given back to you.

10.2 If a fault shows a result that is not the one actually decided, the result actually decided is the one that counts.

10.3 If a fault, fraud or anything else outside our control affects the fairness of the contest, we may pause it, fix the problem, or end the contest period early. Prizes won fairly before the problem are still given.

11. Changes and ending the contest

11.1 We may change these rules, or end the contest, at the end of a contest period, with notice on this page. We do not change the prizes, the chances or the monthly maximum for a contest period that has already started, unless the change is better for entrants. For customers, spins are part of the plan, so clause 11 of our terms of service also applies.

12. Your personal information

12.1 We use your name, email address, entries, results, answers and prizes to run the contest, check eligibility, give prizes and prevent cheating. Entering does not sign you up for marketing. Our privacy policy explains the rest.

13. Law

13.1 These rules are governed by the laws of the province or territory where you live and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in them takes away a right that the law of your province or territory gives you and that a contract cannot remove.
