Terms of service

Version 1.7. Last updated 4 November 2026

These are the terms you agree to when you buy a Simp plan in Canada. They are the contract between you and us. Please read them before you pay.

1. About these terms

1.1 These terms apply to every Simp plan bought in Canada by a person who lives in Canada.

1.2 These documents also apply to you, and we show them to you before you pay:

1.3 The version of these terms that applies to you is the one on this page when you pay, as changed under clause 11. Every version is listed on our legal page.

1.4 In these terms:

  • "we", "us" and "Simp" mean Simp Industries Ltd;
  • "you" means the person who holds the Simp account;
  • "your simp" means the AI that makes phone calls for you and answers calls to your AI number;
  • "your persona" means the character your simp uses on a call; and
  • "your AI number" means the phone number we give you for your simp.

1.5 Nothing in these terms takes away a right that the consumer protection law of your province or territory gives you and that a contract cannot remove.

2. Who we are

2.1 Simp is run by Simp Industries Ltd. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16366317. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. We trade as Simp.

2.2 We have no office or mailing address in Canada. You can reach us at hello@simpmobile.com and at the registered office above.

3. Who can buy a plan

3.1 Simp plans are for consumers only. You may use Simp for your own personal affairs, and not to run a business.

3.2 You must have reached the age of majority in the province or territory where you live, and you must live in Canada. We ask for your date of birth at checkout and check it before anything is charged.

3.3 You must pay with a card issued in Canada.

3.4 You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in secure and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

4. What Simp is

4.1 With a Simp plan you get an AI number and your simp. Your simp makes phone calls for you from your AI number, answers calls to it, works toward what you asked for, and reports back with the outcome, a summary and a transcript. You set up and follow calls in the Simp app.

4.2 Simp is not a cell phone service. It gives you no SIM card, no mobile data and no phone line you can call from yourself. Keep your current phone plan.

4.3 You cannot call 911 through Simp. Your simp will not call 911 or any other emergency number, and your AI number cannot be used to reach 911. In an emergency, call 911 yourself from your own phone.

4.4 Your AI number is allocated to you. You cannot choose it.

4.5 Your simp works toward what you ask for, but it cannot promise a result. The person or business it calls can refuse, keep it on hold, ask to speak to you, or decline to talk to an AI.

5. What we tell you before you pay, and your copy

5.1 Before you pay, the checkout shows you the plan, what it includes, the price for the billing period you choose, the taxes, the total charged today, how the plan renews and how to cancel. You can correct your order, or leave without buying, before you pay.

5.2 Straight after you pay, we email you a copy of these terms and the details of your order.

6. Plans, prices and taxes

6.1 The plans are:

  • Simp AI: one AI number, your simp with any persona, and 20 AI minutes each month.
  • Simp+: one AI number, your simp with any persona, and 30 AI minutes each month, spins in the Simp Spins Contest (1 a week), coins every day.
  • Simp Pro: one AI number, your simp with any persona, and 50 AI minutes each month, spins in the Simp Spins Contest (1 a day), coins every day, autonomous mode.

6.2 The price of each plan, for each billing period, is the price shown at checkout. Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include taxes. We add the sales taxes for the province or territory where you live, and show them before you pay and on your receipt.

6.3 Your AI minutes are used by the calls your simp makes and the calls it answers. They start again at the start of each month of your plan and do not carry over.

6.4 If we lower the price of a plan, the lower price is for new customers only.

7. Billing and payment

7.1 You pay in advance, monthly or up front, as you chose. We charge you on the day you join, and your first payment is the full price for a whole billing period: a month, or 3 months on a plan paid up front. Each later payment falls on the same date as the day you joined, at the start of each new billing period. If you joined on a date a shorter month does not have, such as the 31st, it falls on the last day of that month.

7.2 Your card details never reach us. Payment is handled by our payment provider, which also checks your card when you pay.

7.3 We may suspend your service if a payment fails. While your service is suspended, your simp makes no calls and does not answer your AI number.

7.4 Codes. We check a code at checkout. You can combine several codes, and combined percentage discounts apply one after another, not added together. Each discount lasts as the code states: your first bill only, a set number of months, or for as long as you keep the plan. A code may be for new customers only, or for certain plans. You can use one referral per account, and not your own. We may refuse a code that has expired, has been used up or cannot be used on your order.

8. How your plan continues

8.1 Your plan has no fixed term. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. Paying every 3 months is a way to pay, not a promise to stay.

9. Cancelling

9.1 You can cancel at any time, online, in your account at simpmobile.com or in the Simp app. You do not need to call anyone.

9.2 When you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of the billing period you have paid for and then ends. Nothing more is charged. There is no refund for the rest of a period you have paid for, except where the law of your province or territory requires one.

9.3 The law of your province or territory may let you cancel and get your money back in some cases, for example if we did not give you the information in clause 5.1 before you paid, did not send you a copy of your contract in time, or did not start your service. Where it does, we follow it.

9.4 Your AI number cannot be moved (ported) to another provider, while your plan runs or after it ends.

9.5 After your plan ends, your AI number is held for 30 days. If you start a plan again in that time, you keep it. After that it is gone.

9.6 Unused AI minutes, top-up minutes and extra AI numbers end with your plan. All coins expire when your plan ends (clause 20).

10. Changing your plan

10.1 You can change plan in your account. Moving up applies at once, and you pay the difference for the rest of the current period. Moving down, or changing how often you pay, applies at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your account shows the cost and the date before you confirm.

11. Changes to these terms and our prices

11.1 We may change only these things: the price of your plan for billing periods that have not started; the AI minutes, personas and features included in your plan, including spins and coins; the prices of top-ups and extra AI numbers; and these terms, where the law, a regulator or a court requires it, or to describe a new feature or a new way of doing something.

11.2 We tell you about a change in writing, by email, at least 30 days before it takes effect. The notice sets out the new clause, the clause as it read before, and the date the change takes effect.

11.3 If a change increases what you must do or pay, or reduces what we must do, you may refuse it by cancelling your plan, without cost, penalty or cancellation fee, by telling us no later than 30 days after the change takes effect.

11.4 We never change the price of a period you have already paid for.

12. AI calling: you are the caller

12.1 You are the caller. You decide whether each call is made, who is called and why. Simp provides the tool that makes the call for you. Every call your simp makes is your call.

12.2 Who you may call. You promise to ask your simp to call only:

  • businesses and other organizations; or
  • people who gave you their number, or who agreed to be called.

12.3 Your responsibility. You are responsible for every call you ask for or authorize, for what you ask your simp to say and do, and for the instructions and information you give. You must make sure every call you ask for is lawful, including under the Canadian rules on unsolicited calls and telemarketing.

12.4 Your promise to cover us. If you break clause 12.2, 12.3 or 19, you will cover us for any claim, fine, penalty, cost or loss, including reasonable legal costs, that results, to the extent the law of your province or territory allows.

12.5 Your simp never calls without your say-so. A call happens only when you approve it, or, on Simp Pro, when it fits your say-so given in advance in autonomous mode (clauses 15.4 and 18.2).

12.6 Every call goes out on your AI number. The person called sees that number and can call it back.

12.7 Calling hours. Your simp makes calls only between 9am and 9:30pm on weekdays, and between 10am and 6pm on weekends, in the time zone of the person or business being called. Calls to a toll-free number follow these hours in your own time zone.

13. What your simp says on a call

13.1 At the start of every call it makes, your simp says its persona's name, that it is an AI, that it is calling for you by your first name, and that the call is transcribed.

13.2 When someone calls your AI number, your simp says that it is an AI answering for you and that the call is transcribed.

13.3 If someone asks whether they are talking to an AI, your simp says yes.

13.4 Your first name is always shared on a call.

14. Transcripts

14.1 Every call is transcribed as it happens, so that you can follow it and get a summary. If you take over a call, your side of it is transcribed too. We do not record the sound of your calls.

14.2 You can see each call's transcript, summary and notes in the app for 30 days after the call. After that they are deleted. Save anything you need before then.

14.3 We keep de-identified copies of transcripts, with the details that identify you and the people you call removed, for up to 12 months from the call, to train and improve the service, and then delete them. In Canada we do this only if you turn on "Help improve Simp" in the app, and only while it is on. It starts off, and you can change it at any time.

14.4 You cannot delete a single call. Deleting your account deletes your calls.

14.5 A transcript contains what the other person said. Use it only for your own affairs, and do not publish it.

15. Approvals and autonomous mode

15.1 Your simp asks you in the app before it commits you to anything, unless you have told it in advance that it does not need to.

15.2 You decide, detail by detail, what your simp may share on a call, and you can change this at any time in the app.

15.3 You can set a call for later, or set up a call that repeats. You approve a repeating call once, when you set it up, and you can stop it at any time.

15.4 On Simp Pro you can use autonomous mode: your say-so given in advance, as rules you set for your connected AI apps (clause 18.2). You are responsible for every call made under your rules. You can change your rules, or turn autonomous mode off, at any time.

15.5 Sensitive details. Your simp uses a detail you have marked as sensitive only after you approve it in the app, each time, including on a call made in autonomous mode. If you say no, or do not reply, it does not use it. Everything else follows your sharing settings and the rules you set (clause 15.4). You are responsible for what you approve.

16. Taking over or ending a call

16.1 While your simp is on a call, you can listen live, take over the call, or end it, in the app.

16.2 Time limits on calls. We set time limits on calls, and the app shows the limits that apply to you. Today, a call ends after 10 minutes, and a call that has been on hold for 6 minutes ends then, whether or not your simp has finished. We may change these limits; the app always shows the ones in force. You can take over a call at any time before a limit is reached (clause 16.1).

17. Calls to your AI number

17.1 When someone calls your AI number, your simp answers, takes a message or deals with the call in the way you have set up. You cannot use your AI number to make calls yourself.

18. Connected AI apps

18.1 On every plan, you can connect any AI app we support to Simp. A connected app can ask for a call and is told the outcome.

18.2 A call a connected app asks for waits for your approval, unless it fits your say-so given in advance in autonomous mode, on Simp Pro (clause 15.4). Rules you set there are your approval of the calls that fit them.

18.3 A connected app is run by another company. Its own terms and privacy policy apply to what you share with it, and we are not responsible for it.

19. What you must not do

19.1 You must not use Simp, or ask your simp, to:

  • sell, advertise or promote anything, ask for donations, or make any telemarketing call;
  • call people who have not given you their number or agreed to be called, or call numbers from a list;
  • threaten, harass, abuse or intimidate anyone, or call someone who has asked not to be called;
  • pretend to be someone else, or hide who is calling;
  • deceive anyone, or commit or help any fraud or other crime;
  • collect a debt for someone else;
  • call 911 or any other emergency number; or
  • break any law, including the Canadian rules on unsolicited calls.

19.2 You must not resell Simp, let anyone else use your account, use a script or other automated tool to set up calls, try to get around a limit, or give false details to get a plan.

19.3 We may refuse or end a call that seems to break this clause.

20. Coins and referrals

20.1 Some plans earn coins. Coins can be used only for perks in the Simp app, such as extra AI minutes or a small credit on your bill. Coins cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or swapped for cash.

20.2 Coins expire 6 months after you earn them. All your coins expire when your plan ends.

20.3 If a friend joins Simp with your referral link, your friend gets 2,000 coins once their first bill is paid.

20.4 You get a reward only after your friend has stayed on a paid plan for 3 months in full. The reward is:

Your plan when the reward is paidAccount credit
Simp+CA$5
Simp ProCA$10

20.5 Spins are covered by the Simp Spins Contest Rules.

21. Top-ups and extra AI numbers

21.1 You can buy extra AI minutes in the app or in your account at simpmobile.com. You add extra AI numbers in your account at simpmobile.com, up to your plan's limit. We show you the price and the taxes before you pay. Top-up minutes last for the time shown when you buy them. An extra AI number costs CA$5.99 a month, or CA$17.97 every 3 months on a plan paid up front, plus taxes, is charged with your plan and ends with it. An add-on bought part-way through a billing period is charged for the rest of that period, and then in full with each payment.

22. When something goes wrong

22.1 Your simp is software holding a conversation, and it can misunderstand, mishear or say something that is not accurate. Read the summary and the transcript before you rely on an outcome.

22.2 We may pause Simp to maintain or update it. We update the app and the service from time to time. If an update takes away something your plan includes, clause 11 applies.

23. Our responsibility to you

23.1 We are not responsible for what a person or business your simp calls says, decides or does, or for loss caused by instructions or information you gave, or by acting on an outcome without checking it.

23.2 This clause does not apply in Quebec. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, business or opportunity. Our total responsibility to you for everything arising out of these terms or Simp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

23.3 Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law of your province or territory does not allow us to limit.

24. Your personal information

24.1 Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, where it is processed, how long we keep it and your rights.

25. Suspending or ending your plan

25.1 We may suspend your service or end your plan if you break clause 12 or 19, if a payment fails, if you gave false details to get your plan, if the law, a court or a regulator requires it, or to protect a person or Simp from harm. We may do this without warning. We will usually warn you first.

25.2 If we end your plan because you broke these terms, there is no refund.

25.3 If we stop offering Simp in Canada, we give you at least 30 days' notice.

26. Complaints

26.1 To make a complaint, email hello@simpmobile.com and say it is a complaint, or follow our complaints process. We acknowledge it within 5 working days and give you our answer in writing.

26.2 If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the consumer protection office of your province or territory, or go to court under clause 27.

27. Courts and class actions

27.1 These terms are governed by the laws of the province or territory where you live and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

27.2 You and we may bring a claim only in the courts of the province or territory where you live, including its small claims court where your claim qualifies.

27.3 This clause does not apply in Quebec. Where the law of your province or territory allows it, you may bring a claim against us only on your own behalf, and not as a member or representative of a class or in any class or collective proceeding. This clause also does not apply in any province or territory whose law does not allow a consumer to give up the right to join a class action.

28. Language

28.1 These terms are written in English. If you live in Quebec, a French version is available from us at hello@simpmobile.com, and by accepting these terms in English you expressly choose to be bound by the English version.

29. Contact

29.1 Email us at hello@simpmobile.com, or talk to our support assistant in the Simp app. Our postal address is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

29.2 We contact you by email at the address on your account and by messages in the app. Notices we must give you in writing are sent by email.

30. General

30.1 We may transfer this contract to another company that takes over Simp in Canada, as long as your rights under it are not reduced. You cannot transfer your plan to anyone else.

30.2 If a court decides that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

30.3 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

30.4 These terms, the order details we showed you before you paid, our privacy policy and, if you take part, the Simp Spins Contest Rules are the whole agreement between you and us.
