Yes, Siri can make a phone call for you.
Not a recording and not a chatbot on the other end. Ask Siri to sort something that needs a phone call, and it hands that call to Simp. One of your simps rings the business and talks to a person.
Connecting it, once.
There is nothing to connect. The Simp app offers its actions to Siri as soon as it is on your iPhone.
Install the Simp appOn the iPhone you use, signed in to your Simp account. That is the whole of the setup.
Ask out loudSiri hands the request to Simp, and the call appears in the app waiting for you exactly as it would from anywhere else.
Siri and Shortcuts are Apple's, and what Siri recognises changes with iOS. If it does not catch it the first time, the same request works from the Shortcuts app.
Building your own integration? See the connect guidesThen just ask, in your own words.
There is no phrase to memorise. Say what you want to happen and mention that it needs a call.
It passes what you said to Simp, which works out who to ring and what to ask for. Then it stops, and the call waits on you.
The call appears in the Simp appIt never calls without your say-so.
The call waits in the Simp app with everything it is about to do on screen: who is being rung, what is being asked for, and what it may share to get it.
Approve it for now, or set it for later. Ask for a call on Sunday morning and it sits in the queue until then, so you can hand over something you would only have put off anyway.
This is the whole reason it is safe to let an AI set up a phone call on your behalf.
What happens on the call.
Your simp rings from your AI number, works the objective, and comes back to you the moment it reaches something that is yours to decide.
Menus, hold music and being passed between departments, none of which needs you. Your simp waits on hold for up to 6 minutes, then lets you know so you can take over.
The moment it hits something only you can agree to, it stops and asks rather than guessing on your behalf.
What was said, what was agreed, and a transcript, in the Simp app. Siri tells you it is done rather than reading the call out.
Siri passes the request and nothing else. Your number stays in Simp, and the business is rung from your AI number rather than your real line.
What it will not do.
Worth knowing before you set one up rather than after.
Siri can set a call up and nothing more, however you asked for it. It never calls without your say-so: the call waits for you in the Simp app, unless it fits your say-so given in advance on a plan with autonomous mode.
Your simp says who it is and who it is calling for. It is not a voice clone and it does not claim to be you.
Anything with a payment or a commitment attached comes back for your approval first, however it was phrased.
Questions about Siri calls.
Can Siri really phone a business for me?
Not itself. It can ask Simp to, and Simp makes a real call to a real phone number. It never calls without your say-so. The person answering hears one of your simps.
Do I have to set up a shortcut first?
No. The actions are there once the app is installed. You can build a shortcut around them if you want a phrase of your own.
Which plan do I need?
Any of them. Every Simp plan can connect every AI app we support. The only difference is autonomous mode, on Simp Pro: your say-so given in advance, as rules you set for your AI apps.
What if I ask for a call and change my mind?
Do nothing. The call sits in the app waiting for an approval that never comes, and nothing is dialled. You can throw it away from there.
Not a Siri person?
It works the same way from the other assistants, and each one connects a little differently.
