Privacy policy
Version 1.3. Last updated November 4, 2026
This policy explains what Simp collects about you in the United States, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It covers our customers, visitors to our website, people who contact our support, and the people our simps call or who call a Simp AI number.
1. Who we are
Simp Industries Ltd. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16366317. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. We decide how the personal information in this policy is used, so we are the business, or controller, responsible for it. We do not have a US address.
Privacy questions and requests go to the Data Protection Lead at hello@simpmobile.com.
2. What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address from Apple or Google when you sign in, your date of birth (to check you are old enough), your first name as your simp uses it, your settings and choices, and which version of our terms you accepted and when.
- Your plan and payments: your plan, billing period, renewals, top-ups, extra AI numbers, invoices and whether payments went through. Your card number goes straight to our payment provider; we hold only a reference to the card, its brand, last four digits, expiry and issuing country.
- Your AI numbers and usage: your AI numbers and the AI minutes you use.
- About You: the facts you give your simp to use on calls, and for each one whether it may share it. Facts you mark as sensitive are encrypted.
- Your contacts: the names and numbers of the people and businesses you ask your simp to call.
- Your calls: see section 3.
- Rewards: your spins, prizes, coins and referrals, and the details anyone gives us to ask for a free spin.
- Your device and the app: the type of phone, its operating system and app version, notification addresses for your device, and how you use the app, measured under a code that does not name you.
- Support: your conversations with our support team, and anything you send them.
- Our website: what you put in a waitlist or inquiry form, and how the site is used, as our cookie notice explains.
We also get information from Apple or Google when you sign in, from our payment provider, from a connected AI app when it asks your simp to do something for you (section 4), and from another Simp customer who asks their simp to call you.
3. Your calls
How a call works. When you approve a call, we prepare your simp with your instructions, the facts you allowed it to share and who it is calling. Your simp calls from your AI number. What the other person says is turned into text as they say it, an AI model decides what your simp says next, and a voice service speaks it. After the call, an AI model writes your summary and works out the outcome.
What your simp tells people. At the start of every call, your simp says it is an AI calling from Simp for you, by your first name, and that the call is transcribed.
Audio. Calls are not recorded as audio. The audio is processed live while the call happens and is not stored.
Transcripts. You can see the transcript, summary, outcome and your notes for each call in the app for 30 days, after which they are deleted from your account. You cannot delete a single call; deleting your account deletes them all.
Improving Simp. While "Help improve Simp" is on, we keep de-identified copies of call transcripts, with names, numbers and other details that identify you or the person called removed, for up to 12 months from the call, and use them to train and improve our service. We keep them only while the setting is on, and then they are deleted. We keep anonymous call statistics, which cannot identify anyone, without a time limit. We do not try to work out who a de-identified copy is about. The "Help improve Simp" setting in the app lets you turn this use off. It is on unless you change it.
Who sees a call. Only staff whose job needs it can open a call linked to your account: when you ask us to help with it, to investigate misuse, or when the law requires it. Every look is logged.
The companies that run parts of a call for us may not use your calls to train their own models.
4. Connected AI apps
Connecting an app. You can connect an AI app, like ChatGPT or Claude, to your Simp account so it can ask your simp to make calls and do other tasks for you. Nothing is connected unless you connect it, and you approve each connection yourself.
What a connected app can see.
- Your simps' names and descriptions, your AI numbers, the AI minutes you have left, whether a new task can start right now, and the rules you set for that app, such as whether its requests wait for your OK.
- Your first name, only if you allow your simp to share it.
- Whether you have added your own mobile number (yes or no).
- Your recent tasks, including the ones you started in the Simp app, not only the ones it asked for: what each one is for, who it is for (their name, or their number if there is no name), how it is going, which simp is doing it, any question your simp is waiting for you to answer, and the result and a short summary. The full written transcript of a call stays in the Simp app.
- If you ask it a question for Simp support: support's answer and a list of your support cases. For anything about your plan, bills or your number, it points you to the Simp app.
We remove a call's transcript and summary after 30 days, and a finished task's details 30 days after it ends, so the app can no longer see them either. A connected app never gets your email address, home address, date of birth, payment card details or bill amounts from us, or the transcript of a call. We don't record call audio, so there is none to share.
What a connected app sends us. What you want done, in your words; who it is for, with their name and number or another way to reach them; which simp and AI number to use, and when; and which of your About You details your simp may share for that task. It names the details, and your simp uses what you saved in About You. It can also send us your answers to your simp's questions, cancel a task, and send your questions to Simp support, which opens a support case on your account.
Your OK comes first. Unless you change that app's rules in the Simp app (autonomous mode, on Simp Pro), nothing it asks for goes ahead until you approve it in the Simp app. Even with rules in place, a request to share a detail you haven't allowed for that app waits for your OK.
Once it's with the app. Anything a connected app receives is then held by the company that runs that app, under its own privacy policy. When we remove a call's details, or you delete your Simp account, a copy the app already has is not deleted.
Disconnecting. You can disconnect an app at any time in the Simp app: open Profile, tap AI apps, choose the app and tap Disconnect. Its access to your account stops straight away. You can also remove Simp in the AI app's own settings; to be sure its access has ended, disconnect it in the Simp app too.
How long we keep it. Tasks and calls a connected app asks for are kept like any others (section 10): you can see a call's transcript and summary for 30 days, and the app its summary. Questions it sends to support are kept with your support cases for 2 years. We keep a record of each app you connect, when you connected it and when you disconnected it, until you close your account.
5. People our simps call
If a simp called you, or you called a Simp AI number, we collect your number, your name if the customer gave it or you said it, and what was said on the call, as a transcript. We use it to make the call and report it to the customer who asked for it, and to keep calls safe. The customer can see the transcript for 30 days, and de-identified copies are kept as section 3 explains.
You can ask not to be called by a simp again, or use the rights in section 11, by emailing hello@simpmobile.com. To find the right call we may ask for your number and roughly when the call happened.
6. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- provide Simp: your account, plan, AI numbers, calls, transcripts, summaries and connected AI apps;
- bill you, keep count of your minutes and check your age;
- answer you when you contact support;
- keep Simp safe and lawful, and prevent fraud and misuse;
- train and improve our service, as section 3 explains;
- measure how our website and app are used;
- send you service messages and marketing email (section 8);
- run Spins and other rewards;
- meet our legal obligations.
7. Sensitive personal information
We do not ask for sensitive information, but calls can touch on it: a call to a doctor's office says something about your health, and a call to your bank can include an account number. Sensitive information you keep in About You, or that comes up on a call, is used only to provide the service you asked for, keep it secure and prevent fraud and misuse, and for the de-identified improvement in section 3. We do not use it to infer things about you.
We do not create voiceprints, or any other biometric identifier, from anyone's voice.
8. Messages we send you
We send you the messages the service needs, such as receipts, notices about your account and call results. You cannot turn these off while you have an account.
We may send you marketing email about Simp. Every marketing email says it is from Simp, gives our postal address (71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ) and has a link to unsubscribe. We act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days.
9. Who we disclose it to
Our service providers, under written contracts that let them use it only to provide their service to us:
- AI calling providers: voice platform, telephone network, speech to text, language models and voices;
- database, storage and hosting providers;
- our sign-in provider;
- email and notification providers;
- our analytics provider;
- our subscription and billing platform, and our payment provider.
Others: Apple or Google when you sign in; our payment provider, which also uses payment data to prevent fraud; any AI app you connect, which receives what section 4 describes, at your direction; the people your simp speaks to, who hear your first name and anything you allowed your simp to share; law enforcement, regulators and courts when the law requires it; and a buyer of our business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
10. How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account | While your account is open. When it closes, billing records are kept for 6 years and everything else is deleted |
| Transcripts, summaries, outcomes and notes | 30 days from the call |
| De-identified copies of transcripts | Up to 12 months from the call, only while "Help improve Simp" is on |
| Anonymous call statistics, which cannot identify anyone | No time limit |
| Call audio | Not stored |
| Basic call records (time, length, cost and outcome) | 12 months; the number called is removed after 30 days |
| Support cases | 2 years |
| Connected AI apps: which apps you connected, and when you connected and disconnected them | Until you close your account |
| Waitlist sign-ups | Until we launch in that country, then 6 months |
| Audit logs | 2 years |
| Backups | 35 days |
| Website and app measurements | a year |
What we keep after you delete your account: a one-way code made from your email address, so a promotion cannot be claimed twice; your Simp handle, held for 90 days so nobody else can take it straight away; cost records with nothing personal in them; our providers' copies of messages, for up to 30 days; and a minimal record that the deletion happened.
Information we held before October 13, 2026 is kept until December 31, 2026 and then deleted under these rules.
11. Your state privacy rights
Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it, and get a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- get it in a format a computer can read;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, targeted advertising and profiling with significant effects, none of which we do;
- limit the use of your sensitive personal information, which we use only as section 7 says;
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
How to ask. Email the Data Protection Lead at hello@simpmobile.com. Deleting your account in the app deletes your data, except what section 10 says we keep.
How we check it is you. We reply to the email on your account, or ask for details that match what we hold. An authorized agent can ask for you with your signed permission.
How long it takes. We answer within 45 days. If we need longer, we tell you why, and may take up to 45 days more.
If we say no. You can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject. We answer an appeal within the time your state's law sets. If we turn it down, you can contact your state's attorney general.
California. We do not disclose personal information to other companies for their own direct marketing.
12. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information, and we turn off website measuring for that browser. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no agreed standard for them.
13. Notice at collection
This section tells you, at or before the moment we collect it, what personal information we collect, why and for how long. We do not sell or share any of it.

14. Where your information is processed
Your information is stored in the UK. Some of our providers process it in the United States and the European Union.
15. Children
Simp is for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
16. Keeping it safe
Your card number never reaches us, sensitive About You facts are encrypted, our app and website use encrypted connections, and staff access to customer records is limited and logged. If a security breach puts your personal information at risk, we tell you as the law of your state requires.
17. Changes to this policy
We publish every new version here. If a change affects you, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
18. Contact us
Email the Data Protection Lead at hello@simpmobile.com, or tell our support assistant in the Simp app that it is about privacy. You can also contact your state's attorney general, the Federal Trade Commission, or, in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency.
